The answer is NO.
The number one essential factor needed for manufacturing a genuine Uggs is the material (the sheepskin hide).
Not one sheep has to be slaughted to obtain their hide and fleece. The sheepskins are shawn of the sheep back and the sheep regrow their fleece just like humans do hair.
It%26#039;s completely painless for the sheep. The sheep actually like the experience of feeling free and would prefer to be shawn rather than have to carry a thick woolen coat around with them in the hot Summer.

Must find these boots!!!?
I really like these boots that i found in the most recent issue of Girls%26#039; Life magazine. They are supposed to be at Payless, but I can%26#039;t find them. They are white wedge boots with faux fur on the top and two balls hanging from the top. Can anyone help me find them???

I know black Ugg Australia boots have black fur inside but is the fur on the bottom of the boot supposed to be black or white? Also, are they definetely made in China?

Can anyone tell me where I clould find an imitation of the fluffy momma Ugg Boots? I have looked everywhere and can only find the real ones. I dont want the real cause they are far too exspensive for me but most importantly,, I dont support the killing of innocent little animals just to make people look good. I recently moved to Canada and now getting ready for the first winter here..I was wondering if I%26#039;ll be needing snow boots or long fur lined boots for the winter..I know sneakers won%26#039;t be enough..help me out here!

i live in a ski resort and have warm practical boots for the day and then fashion boots for going out which i get a size to big and get some boot liners you know like thick fluffy long socks,and thats always worked for me!!

I am against fur and skinning an animal alive but I have UGG boots,people use that against me HELP?
I got them as a gift and I cant just not wear them because that would be the same thing as killing an animal and leaving it there. They are extremely warm(not very pretty)

But from now on please make sure everyone close to you knows how you feel and buy only cruelty-free products.
You might also want to check your make-up and toiletries, many are still being tested on animals in the most horrible ways.

How the heck do i clean these boots?
i bought a pair of immitation suede/fur boots. They are white, i knew it was a mistake before i bought them i never thought they would stay clean, well i managed to keep them clean for a while, and then one night im not sure what i did to them but i got black dirt or grease or something (i think from the inside edge of my car door) on them. Now i dont know how to clean them. I went back to the store i bought them from and the lady working told me i wouldnt be able to get them clean because i didnt spray them before i wore them(but i didnt know i needed to do that, i guess i should have asked them first...stupid move) but if anyone knows how to clean them they are made out of like a white microfiber immatation suede...and there are NO cleaning tags on them...ive been thinking about taking them to the dry cleaners but i dont know if theres anything they can do either since they arent real suede...and they also have some (little) faux fur on them and i dont want to damage that as well

Now I really don%26#039;t know who the ones with mental problems are.
Maybe it%26#039;s people like me that just can%26#039;t stand the though of innocent creatures being killed for vanity. That care about animals so much, they%26#039;d risk their lives to save one.
Maybe it%26#039;s people like the pictures above. That can open a cat%26#039;s skull and test products on it. Sure they%26#039;re testing it so it%26#039;ll be safe for us, but ask yourself this, if it needs to be tested at all, then what the hell are we putting on our bodies?
And maybe the only normal ones are those that are in between. They take what they need, wouldn%26#039;t kill, but would risk theie health for animals either.
Then again, I think this world needs a certin kind of balance. If everyone was vegetarian or vegan, the animal population would overtake us. If everyone was a meat eater and killer, there wouldn%26#039;t be enough animals and we would eventually die.
Think about all I said, keep your fur, but maybe conside something more.
Eyes are the door to the soul, I think that goes with animals too, if you look at there eye%26#039;s you%26#039;ll see a happy life or troubled past. They also feel, maybe you should try being with animals more and maybe you%26#039;ll feel some compassion towards them. I don%26#039;t expect you to go vegan, but try to open your eyes to the world and every aspect that goes behind making a product or coat. God put animals on the world, yes for our needs, but we are meant to take what we NEED and give back to the earth that gives us so much.

Reply:Spending that much on clothing is not a very good investment considering that you will only wear it during the winter and it will fall apart in a few years.

I dont think its right for trappers to just trap the animal for the fur, they should make sure of the meat as well. I live in Alaska and I see first hand all the meat thats wasted because only the fur was wanted.

Reply:I%26#039;m personally against it. I%26#039;m a vegetarian and support animal rights. Now, I%26#039;m not going to bash you or anything because it%26#039;s your choice, but I%26#039;ll give you my point of view.

I understand that before we had a need to wear fur, but now there are so many other options. Think about how small those animals you mentioned are, how many do you think have to be killed to make one little jacket, when you could buy a faux fur jacket that looks just as nice? They aren%26#039;t going to last forever and will eventually be extinct. I would never buy fur, but for people that don%26#039;t think the way I do, then I can%26#039;t say anything bad about you because you have a different mentality than I do, we all do, but I do think there is a line between liking fur and being heartless.

Now I really don%26#039;t know who the ones with mental problems are.
Maybe it%26#039;s people like me that just can%26#039;t stand the though of innocent creatures being killed for vanity. That care about animals so much, they%26#039;d risk their lives to save one.
Maybe it%26#039;s people like the pictures above. That can open a cat%26#039;s skull and test products on it. Sure they%26#039;re testing it so it%26#039;ll be safe for us, but ask yourself this, if it needs to be tested at all, then what the hell are we putting on our bodies?
And maybe the only normal ones are those that are in between. They take what they need, wouldn%26#039;t kill, but would risk theie health for animals either.
Then again, I think this world needs a certin kind of balance. If everyone was vegetarian or vegan, the animal population would overtake us. If everyone was a meat eater and killer, there wouldn%26#039;t be enough animals and we would eventually die.
Think about all I said, keep your fur, but maybe conside something more.
Eyes are the door to the soul, I think that goes with animals too, if you look at there eye%26#039;s you%26#039;ll see a happy life or troubled past. They also feel, maybe you should try being with animals more and maybe you%26#039;ll feel some compassion towards them. I don%26#039;t expect you to go vegan, but try to open your eyes to the world and every aspect that goes behind making a product or coat. God put animals on the world, yes for our needs, but we are meant to take what we NEED and give back to the earth that gives us so much.
Reply:Because the animals used to make that fur are raised in squalor. They live in terrible, filthy conditions that would make your hair curl if you saw how they live.
It%26#039;s not ethical and buying the fur only supports these actions.
