WHATS the big deal about fur?

I really like fur. its very fashionable and warm.





I own many fur coats like REAL rabbit, fox, chincilla, and some fur boots





BUT my friends BASH!!! me when they see me wear it.





Whats so wrong? SOMEONE help me understand.





Its just a animal. I dont see the problem....:/

And the pathetic part is that many of your friends probably have LESS to say about killing babies (or abortion) but they jump on a rampage band wagon when it comes to animals. Originally we wore fur for warmth.


Wear what YOU want, it%26#039;s your own conviction that matters.... you live with what you choose to do.

Reply:Its seen as cruel, because the animal involved is being killed, not for food(which most people agree is a necessity), but for vanity. Basically, you killed an animal to look good. Though an animal can%26#039;t talk or express its desires, it was still a living creature.

Most animals are treated really horribly on fur farms, and some of them are killed with unnecessary violence.

Reply:Girl i guess you have to have a passion for animals to not wear fur. i don%26#039;t knock you at all i mean everyone is entitled to their own opinion but i would never wear an animal because i love them too much and i don%26#039;t eat them they are living creatures with a heart. Reply:Spending that much on clothing is not a very good investment considering that you will only wear it during the winter and it will fall apart in a few years.

I dont think its right for trappers to just trap the animal for the fur, they should make sure of the meat as well. Reply:I%26#039;m personally against it. I%26#039;m a vegetarian and support animal rights. Now, I%26#039;m not going to bash you or anything because it%26#039;s your choice, but I%26#039;ll give you my point of view.

I understand that before we had a need to wear fur, but now there are so many other options. Think about how small those animals you mentioned are, how many do you think have to be killed to make one little jacket, when you could buy a faux fur jacket that looks just as nice? Now I really don%26#039;t know who the ones with mental problems are.





Maybe it%26#039;s people like me that just can%26#039;t stand the though of innocent creatures being killed for vanity. That care about animals so much, they%26#039;d risk their lives to save one.





Maybe it%26#039;s people like the pictures above. That can open a cat%26#039;s skull and test products on it. Sure they%26#039;re testing it so it%26#039;ll be safe for us, but ask yourself this, if it needs to be tested at all, then what the hell are we putting on our bodies?





And maybe the only normal ones are those that are in between. They take what they need, wouldn%26#039;t kill, but would risk theie health for animals either.





Then again, I think this world needs a certin kind of balance. If everyone was vegetarian or vegan, the animal population would overtake us. If everyone was a meat eater and killer, there wouldn%26#039;t be enough animals and we would eventually die.





Think about all I said, keep your fur, but maybe conside something more.





Eyes are the door to the soul, I think that goes with animals too, if you look at there eye%26#039;s you%26#039;ll see a happy life or troubled past. They also feel, maybe you should try being with animals more and maybe you%26#039;ll feel some compassion towards them. I don%26#039;t expect you to go vegan, but try to open your eyes to the world and every aspect that goes behind making a product or coat. God put animals on the world, yes for our needs, but we are meant to take what we NEED and give back to the earth that gives us so much.

It%26#039;s not ethical and buying the fur only supports these actions.
