I am against fur and skinning an animal alive but I have UGG boots,people use that against me HELP?

I got them as a gift and I cant just not wear them because that would be the same thing as killing an animal and leaving it there. They are extremely warm(not very pretty)

Like you, I am against cruelty to animals, there shouldn%26#039;t be a need for that for any reason.


I%26#039;d say, if you can%26#039;t return/exchange your boots, it is up to you; if your comfortable wearing them, do it. The damage is done.


But from now on please make sure everyone close to you knows how you feel and buy only cruelty-free products.


You might also want to check your make-up and toiletries, many are still being tested on animals in the most horrible ways.

Reply:well they have a point, you are contradicting yourself, but in the defense of owning clothing, shoes or accessories made out of leather...... they cow wasn%26#039;t slaughtered just for the hide. I think your safe... unless you are also wearing a Siberian tiger fur jacket... then well yeah it was shot and killed just to make that coat.
Reply:Does this person know you are against fur? I think you should just wear it around the house because uggs can get up to$200 and they were VERY hard to find this year around christmas time.
Reply:if you really were against it you would have asked for the receipt so that you could return them and then use the money to buy another pair of boots that look like uggs but are fake so hence not made from an animal. that or you would have given them to a friend. or just wear them around your house

Tell them that you are against wearing endangered animals. Sheep are nowhere near endangered. Or just tell them to shut up and get over it. I hate it when people choose to bother me when I do something that I want to do.

i asked for them for christmas without knowing that they needed to kill an animal to make them..i thought they just had to shave the sheep..





but i watched that video last night and i started crying and felt so bad. but its better to put them for use instead of just throwing them out..that would be a waste

Reply:I%26#039;m guessing that the sheepskin they use to make uggs come from animals that were going to get killed anyway for something else. So, if they%26#039;re going to kill the animal anyway, at least they are using all of it... Hope this has helped.
